Where Do the Ads Come From?


GetHookd does not scrape the entire Meta Ads Library. Our ad database is built from two main sources:


  1. Brand Spy — When any user on the platform spies on a brand, all of that brand's ads are scraped from the Meta Ad Library and added to the GetHookd database. The more brands our community tracks, the larger the library grows.
  2. Chrome Extension — When users save ads from the Meta Ad Library using the GetHookd Chrome Extension, those ads are added to the shared library as well.


This means our library is community-driven — it grows based on what brands users are tracking and what ads they're saving. If you're searching for a specific brand or product and don't see ads for it, it's likely because no one has spied on that brand yet. You can fix this instantly by adding the brand to Brand Spy (just paste their Meta Ad Library URL), and their ads will appear in Explore shortly after.
