# ⏳ Your Free Trial: What's Included and What Happens Next

Your free trial gives you the real product — not a stripped-back version — so you can find out whether GetHookd fits how you work before you pay for it.

## What you get

* **7 days free** on the **Starter**, **Pro** and **Team** plans.
* **The Agency plan has no free trial.** If you want to try GetHookd first, start a trial on another plan and move up later.
* Full access to everything included in the plan you picked, plus that plan's monthly credits.

## Starting your trial

Pick a plan on the **Plans** page and follow the checkout. You'll be asked for a card even though you're not paying yet — it's what lets your subscription continue automatically if you decide to stay.

You may see a **temporary $1 hold** from Stripe when you enter your card. That's a card check, not a charge, and it disappears on its own.

## When the trial ends

At the end of day 7, your subscription starts automatically and your card is charged for the plan you chose. Nothing else changes — your boards, saved ads and tracked brands stay exactly as they are.

**To avoid being charged, cancel before the 7 days are up.** You keep access until the trial's last day. See [Cancel Subscription](https://gethookdai.crisp.help/en/article/cancel-subscription-14srjnz/) for the steps.

## Two things that catch people out

**Switching plans during a trial ends it immediately.** If you change plan mid-trial, the trial stops there and you're charged the full price of the new plan straight away. If you're only exploring, stay on one plan until the trial finishes.

**You can only have one free trial.** Trials are per customer, not per account — so if you've trialled GetHookd before, a new signup won't get another one. When that happens the button reads **Get Started** instead of **Start free trial**, and you're charged as soon as you subscribe. That's working as intended, not a bug :)

## Making the trial count

Seven days goes quickly. If you only do three things, do these:

1. **Run a real search on Explore.** Use a product or angle you're actually working on, not a test query.
2. **Spy on a competitor** with Brand Spy and watch what they're running.
3. **Save the ads worth stealing from** into your Swipe File so you leave with something usable.
