Clone Ads uses AI to generate image ad variations tailored to your product. You pick an inspiration ad, add your product, and the AI does the heavy lifting — it researches your product, analyzes the inspiration’s style, and builds a smart prompt that produces ads ready to test.


Before you start


  • Credits: Each generation costs 5 credits.
  • Plan: Available on all paid plans (Launch, Grow, Scale).
  • Navigation: Go to Create Ads → Clone Ads, or click the three-dot menu on any ad and select Clone Ad.
  • Estimated time: About 1–2 minutes per generation.
  • Formats: Square, Portrait, and Landscape.
  • Variations: You choose how many images to generate (1–10 per generation).



How the AI works for you


Clone Ads isn’t just copying an ad — it runs a smart pipeline behind the scenes so you get results that are relevant to your product and your market:


  1. Inspiration Analysis — When you pick an inspiration ad or image, the AI studies its visual style: colors, layout, typography, tone of voice, and emotional approach. It uses all of this to match the look and feel of your generated ads.


  1. Product Deep Research — When you add a product (especially via URL), the AI scrapes the product page and runs deep market research: your brand positioning, competitors, pricing, differentiators, and emotional triggers that resonate with your audience.


  1. Smart Prompt Generation — The AI combines the inspiration analysis with the product research to automatically build a highly optimized prompt. You don’t need to write anything yourself — the prompt is already tailored to produce the best results for your product.


The result: ads that match the style you chose, speak to your audience, and highlight what makes your product different.



Step-by-step


1. Open Clone Ads


You can start in two ways:


  • From the sidebar: go to Create Ads → Clone Ads.
  • From any ad card: click the three-dot menu and select Clone Ad.



2. Choose your inspiration


Pick the ad or image whose style you want the AI to work from. You can choose from:


  • Upload your own image — drag and drop or browse (JPEG, PNG, or WebP, max 2 MB).
  • Swipe File — pick an ad you’ve already saved.
  • Static Ad Templates — choose from ready-made designs.
  • Your Products — use a product image from your catalog.


Once you select an inspiration, the AI automatically analyzes its colors, layout, typography, tone, and visual style. This analysis shapes how your generated ads will look.



3. Add your product


We recommend adding your product via URL — just paste your product page link and the AI will scrape it automatically. This gives the AI everything it needs: your product name, description, pricing, audience, and competitive context.


The AI then runs deep market research on your product to understand your positioning, competitors, and what messaging will resonate. All of this feeds into the prompt it builds for you.


If you’ve already created a Product profile in Products (in the sidebar), you can select it directly.



4. Review the prompt


The AI generates a smart prompt automatically based on your inspiration analysis and product research. In most cases, you don’t need to change anything — it’s already optimized to produce the best results for your product.


Just review it and move on to the next step. If you want to add specific creative direction (like “white background” or “lifestyle setting”), you can edit the prompt before generating.



5. Pick a format and number of variations


  • Format: Choose Square (1:1), Portrait (2:3), or Landscape (3:2).
  • Variations: Select how many images you want (1–10). More variations give you more options to test.



6. Click Generate


Hit Generate and you’ll see the AI working through the stages in real time:


  1. Researching — analyzing your product and market.
  2. Analyzing — studying your inspiration’s visual style.
  3. Generating — producing your ad variations.


This takes about 1–2 minutes depending on how many variations you selected.



7. Review and download


Once complete, you’ll see all your image variations on screen.


  • Click any image to preview it full-size.
  • Download individually — click the download button on a single image.
  • Download all — get every variation as a ZIP file.



8. Not happy with the results? Edit and regenerate


If the first generation isn’t quite right, you can edit the prompt and generate again. This is where you can fine-tune things:


  • Adjust the style direction (“more minimal”, “bolder colors”)
  • Change the setting (“outdoor lifestyle”, “studio shot”)
  • Emphasize specific product features


Each new generation costs 5 credits. The inspiration analysis and product research carry over, so subsequent generations are just as smart.



Success check


  • You see your generated image variations after the progress stages complete.
  • Each image reflects both your product and the style of your inspiration.
  • You can download images individually or as a ZIP.



Troubleshooting


  • Generation takes too long: Most generations complete within 2 minutes. If it’s been more than 3 minutes, try refreshing — your results may already be ready.
  • “Insufficient credits” error: Each generation costs 5 credits. Check your remaining credits in the top bar. You can buy credit add-on packs if needed.
  • Image blocked by safety filter: If your prompt or inspiration triggers a content safety check, try adjusting your prompt or using a different inspiration image.
  • Upload failed: Make sure your image is JPEG, PNG, or WebP and under 2 MB.
  • Results don’t match the inspiration style: Try editing the prompt to be more specific, or try a different inspiration image. The closer the inspiration is to what you want, the better the results.
